There are two major Android updates in the Galaxy S20 series.

May 31, 2021: Latest Samsung Galaxy S20, S20 Plus, and S20 Ultra updates. So that series is receiving a fresh upgrade from Samsung. G98xxXXS8DUE4 (h/t SamMobile) is an international firmware that is currently only available on a few smartphones clearly.

 As an example, the June 2021 Android security patch is included in the update. It doesn’t appear to add any new features or fix any bugs.

The current firmware version is G98xxXXS8DUE4. It should be available in various markets, including the UK and Luxembourg. For the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+, and Galaxy S20 Ultra. It will roll out the software upgrade to more Galaxy S20 models in more regions over time. And it shouldn’t be long before it’s available globally.

Finally, The Samsung Galaxy S20 series in the United States has been added to the May 2021 security update guard. The G981U1UES2DUD4, G986U1UES2DUD4, and G988BXXU7DUDB are the over-the-air patches for the Galaxy S20 5G, Galaxy S20+ 5G, and Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G that have already been verified to be rolling out. 

This month’s firmware release was spotted in Kentucky. Then it was distributed via the Bluegrass Cellular network. The G981U1UES2DUD4, G986U1UES2DUD4, and G988BXXU7DUDB are the over-the-air patches for the Galaxy S20 5G, Galaxy S20+ 5G, and Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G that have already been verified to be rolling out.

Midwesterners who have prepaid plans with Bluegrass can now manually activate the latest security update. To do so, go to Settings, Software Update, and then select Download and Install from the last choice.
